Penn State is on the board in the 2027 class.

The Nittany Lions secured a commitment on Saturday from three-star cornerback Semajay Robinson, who becomes the Nittany Lions’ first recruit in the cycle. Robinson ranks as the No. 41 Florida prospect, No. 46 cornerback and No. 464 overall recruit in the class, per the 247Sports composite rankings.

He was listed at 6-foot-2.5 and 190 pounds last season, bringing good size to the room. He recently transferred to Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, where he’ll play his senior season, but was previously at Palm Beach Central and Boyd Anderson.

Robinson held offers from Florida State, Texas Tech, Auburn, Missouri and several other power conference schools. He scheduled visits to Virginia and Mississippi State this summer, but it’s unclear if he still intends to make those trips. He was on campus last June for an official visit with the previous coaching staff and picked up an offer in January, with Terry Smith serving as his primary recruiter.

With Robinson’s commitment, Penn State sits at No. 16 in the Big Ten and No. 61 overall in the 2027 class, lagging behind its peers after the new coaching staff got a late start on the recruiting trail.
